TIME TO BASK IN THE SCREENROOM GLOW JUN 2014
It's Time to Bask in the Glow of Nature's View
It's about time summer has officially arrived. There's nothing like waking up on an early morning to watch the sun softly rise. There's still a morning coolness outside and the wet, dewey grass begins to glisten. The birds are working full steam because the day has begun. This is when the coffee tastes best, watching nature unfold from the comfort of my sunroom. This additional space is what Gulfcoast living is all about. Why sit on that open Lanai porch with bugs, ants, and mosquitoes? Protect your outdoor furniture and sit in comfort without powdering your clothes with a fresh layer of nature's pollen. Let Majors Home Improvement create your dream sunroom or screenroom, customized to your home unique style. Schedule your free consultation here

3 Spells Trouble: Storm Preparedness
Let's think about it, one nasty ice storm, a torrential raining and flood event, and the 10 year anniversary of Hurricane Ivan. My mom always said to be careful of things happening in three's. Evidence is building early this year to foreshadow a busy storm season. Many locals claim that we are "due up" and with 10 years since a major storm, this forecast may come to fruition. June is National Preparedness Month.
At Majors Home Improvement, we prepare our customers for storm events with high impact windows and hurricane shutter protection. Schedule
a free consultation with us now to learn how we can get you "storm ready" this season. Read more on Hurricane Shutter protection
Guild Quality Testimonials
"I was most satisfied with the interaction and professionalism. It was the whole attitude you felt from them that was so nice."
-Customer from Pensacola, FL
"Very satisfied with all --if I had to highlight one thing--I took time off work to be home when the city inspector came. After waiting a bit, I called Majors to confirm that I had the correct date, etc. Your employee was immediately willing to confirm with the city ---she did so and called me back within minutes. Great customer service!" -Customer from Pensacola, FL Read more comments
Got a Question? Ask Mike!
Question: My home was flooded with the recent storm that hit Pensacola. I am working though a lot of cleanup and am now ready to replace my windows and several things around my home. Do you recommend putting in windows before the new sheetrock is installed? - A. Greene
Mike's Reply: Thank you for contacting us. I am sorry to hear that your home was affected by the recent flooding. We recommend that you replace the sheetrock first before installing new windows. Feel free to contact us after your repair work is complete. Each home and situation is unique - we would be happy to come out and do a free estimate if you would like.

United Way & Majors Announce Winner of Home Repair Contest
Over 450 votes were counted in the Majors Helps Home Improvement contest, but one family clearly stood out. The "Self-Sacrificing" family, also known as Carolyn Butler and Debbie Lewis, Milton, were selected as the winners of the 2014 Home Repair project. Majors Home Improvement, in partnership with United Way of Santa Rosa County, launched its 2014 community initiative, Majors Helps in March, inviting residents to advocate for others by submitting stories for a family in need. United Way and Majors narrowed the applications down to three families who were posted on Facebook for the community to vote. Plans are currently underway and a project date will be announced soon. The community can follow this family's project transformation at United Way Santa Rosa County or Majors.
"It's amazing to see the community's response for this deserving family. We are excited to offer our home improvement expertise to repair their home," states Mike Majors, president of Majors Home Improvement. This home will benefit from needed improvements which will provide a safer and more energy efficient home.
"We at United Way Santa Rosa County find the involvement of the community absolutely incredible," shares Anja Machado, UW Director of Marketing and Communications. United Way and Majors are now seeking volunteers who would like to lend a helping hand during the home repairs, and detailed information pertaining to the date and types of skills desired will be released in the coming weeks. Volunteers can already sign up at United Way Santa Rosa's Volunteer Center located at 6479-A Caroline St. in Milton, or by calling 623-4507.
