I was told if I replaced more than 25% of the glass in my home I would be required to have storm shutters. Is this true?  ~ B. Hall 


A:  Thank you for contacting us.  

If you replace windows and/or doors in your home, you have to have either choose impact glass or approved hurricane shutters if you are in an impact zone. If you replace less than 25% then you do not have to do this. You have to wait at least 12 months before you can do another phase.
